Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your email account, password, and verification codes secure. Do not share passwords or verification codes with Mealyn support or anyone else.

Your Content

Mealyn lets you save meal photos and related journal information. You keep ownership of the content you add, and you give Mealyn permission to host, process, display, and back it up so the app can work for you.

Only upload content that you have the right to use and that does not violate another person's privacy or rights.

Friend Sharing and Safety

When you choose to share a meal or restaurant, Mealyn may show the selected text, photos, restaurant context, and optional expense or party-size details to the audience you select. Do not share another person's private information or precise location without permission.

You can report received Activity or structured-share content and block another user from the app. You may also email support@mealyn.net with the subject "Safety report" if the in-app control is unavailable. Reports are reviewed for safety and policy enforcement; submitting a report does not guarantee a particular result.

AI-Assisted Features

AI image analysis is part of Mealyn's core service. We process uploaded images and relevant records using AI for recognition, descriptions, analysis and content safety checks, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate. Check important details such as receipt amounts; results are not factual guarantees or professional advice.

Service Regions

Accounts use their region of registration; account-region migration is not currently supported. The App Store storefront may influence the initial registration or sign-in destination, but changing storefront, language or travel location does not move an existing account. Features may vary by region and version. Processing locations are described in the Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Plus is an auto-renewable Apple App Store subscription. Prices, billing periods, offers and benefits at purchase are described in the purchase interface. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. View renewal dates and cancel in iPhone Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Cancellation normally preserves access for the paid period and does not automatically create a prorated refund. Request refunds through Apple, subject to its rules and applicable law.

Deleting the app or your Mealyn account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Paid access starts after purchase verification and account linking. If verification is delayed, refresh, use Restore Purchases or contact support rather than purchasing again. One subscription belongs to one active Mealyn account and cannot transfer between two active accounts. Family Sharing is not currently supported.

Plus provides the stated features and periodic allowances, not unlimited use. Allowances and applicable periods are described in purchase and usage pages. Periodic allowances do not roll over, and deleting records does not return consumed usage. Allowances measured by UTC days or months reset at midnight UTC (8 a.m. China Standard Time). Subscription expiration alone does not delete existing records; new use follows the then-applicable Free plan and available features.

Price changes follow Apple's notice and applicable consent processes. Material adverse changes to purchased benefits require advance notice and take effect at a subsequent renewal where permitted by law, except for urgent legal or security requirements; paid service not provided is addressed under applicable law. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. The app's software licence is governed by Apple's Standard EULA.

Acceptable Use

• Do not upload unlawful, threatening, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or infringing content.
• Do not expose another person's private information or precise location without permission.
• Do not impersonate people or restaurants, mislead others about restaurant identity, or send spam.
• Do not try to access another user's account, media, or private data.
• Do not interfere with Mealyn services, security controls, or infrastructure.

Mealyn may remove content, restrict sharing, or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these rules, protect users, or comply with law.

Availability and Changes

Subject to the paid-benefit and notice provisions in these Terms, Mealyn may change, pause, or remove features as the product develops. We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.

Supported Versions and Required Updates

Mealyn depends on online services. We may change the minimum supported app or operating-system version for security, reliability, compatibility or legal reasons. Older versions may require an update to continue accessing online features. For planned production-version retirement, where reasonably practicable, we provide reasonable advance notice through the app, account email or website identifying affected versions, the cutoff and available update path, subject to mandatory legal notice periods. Urgent security, legal or third-party platform changes may require shorter notice.

If you cannot update to a supported version, contact support@mealyn.net to request access to or a copy of existing data, or for account-deletion and subscription assistance. Paid service not provided is addressed under applicable law and Apple's purchase and refund mechanisms.

Service Suspension and Discontinuation

Mealyn may suspend or discontinue services for business, technical, legal or security reasons. For planned permanent discontinuation, where reasonably practicable, we provide reasonable advance notice through the app, account email or website, subject to mandatory legal notice periods. Emergencies or circumstances beyond reasonable control may prevent advance notice. Before service ends, you may request access to or a copy of existing data through support; the discontinuation notice will explain the arrangements.

On discontinuation, we will arrange to stop relevant subscription sales and renewals and address paid service not provided under applicable law and Apple's mechanisms. Data is deleted or retained as described in the Privacy Policy. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer or personal-information rights.

Disclaimers and Liability Limits

Mealyn is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Mealyn is not medical, nutrition, or health advice. AI-generated descriptions, estimates, suggestions, or classifications are journal aids only and may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for deciding how to use or rely on them.

To the extent permitted by law, Mealyn will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, profits, business, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

Account Suspension or Deletion

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, create security risks or abuse the service. You can permanently delete your account in Profile, Settings, Delete Account. Support can help locate the control but will not ask for passwords or verification codes.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains collection, use, third-party processing, retention and deletion of relevant information. These Terms do not replace separate permission required by law or platform rules.
